Down to the wire!

Well, here is my entry for the first Sir Stampalot challenge the theme being fantasy. It ends at noon GMT today, so I am just in time - hopefully. I have made a secret garden gatefold card and used my new alcohol inks to create the background inside the card. I've not had much of a chance to play with them, but I love them already! I have used a variety of stamps to create the garden scene.

Got the blues!

Over on Polkadoodles the challenge is monochrome. I chose blue and made an easel card. I used patterned acetate and the stamp is by SU. This is quite clean and simple, but I quite like it.

I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger this week but I've been getting ready for my parents to arrive. They were meant to come last week but their flight was cancelled because of the volcano. At least it meant I could be ready for them when they do arrive and they now have a bed to sleep on! Also, I've been having lots of blood tests done as the midwife thought I might have gestational diabetes. I just have to wait and see for the results. Hopefully my mojo will come back soon.

In stitches

Over on the allsorts challenge blog, the theme is to include stitching or faux stitching. As my sewing machine is still in England, I drew faux stitching around the image and the green paper. I was given the image a while ago but just found it hidden in my paper stash.

Petals and pearls

Over on the allsorts blog, the theme is petals and pearls. I've used a popcorn bear stamp which I won a while ago. I haven't used it much as it is quite large and I don't have a large enough acrylic block to fit it all on comfortably. I also find that it is hard to get all of the stamp printing cleanly. Anyway, back to the card. I've used a colour scheme that is a bit unusual for me, but I think it works with the delicate pearls.
And yes, I will make sure I link this properly to the allsorts blog!

A bit of a challenge

Over at polkadoodles, the theme is to create a wedding card or project. This was a challenge for me as I always find wedding cards difficult. Anyway, I used some patterned voile for the background and embossed some foil which came from food packaging with a love birds stamped image.

How silly!

I'm obviously suffering from baby brain and tiredness as have just realised that somehow I managed not to link my no DP card to the allsorts challenge. Ooops! I thought I had double checked, too!

A happy bunny

I think this is my week for good luck craftwise, as my black, white and pink cake card has been named the winner for the polkadoodles challenge. I'm over the moon and am looking forward to playing with the downloads I was given as a prize.

No papers!

Over at allsorts, the challenge is to make something without using any design papers. Well, I took the opportunity to have a play and have used my SU french script stamp backed with glimmer misted card for the background. I then used a SU flower stamp and chalks for my image.

A new card

Over at polkadoodles, the challenge is to make a birthday card. I decided to try a new (to me) design of card. I've seen these belt cards before and put it on my to make list but never got around to it. I used a flower vase decoupage from the polkadoodles paper boutique CD.

A lovely weekend

I hope you all had a great Easter. We went to the Easter show in Sydney which is an agricultural show, funfair and much more. Daisy had great fun and rode a pony for the first time. We also had an egg hunt for Daisy in the garden.
The only bad thing was the clocks went back for winter and Daisy has been up at 5am for the past 3 days. I hope she adjusts soon.
Another good thing is my cyber bunny won the 3D keepsake challenge on the Crafts Beautiful forum AND I have been named Member of the Month on the forum, which was a lovely surprise.
Hopefully I'll do some crafting tonight if I can stay awake.
